The title wasn't my speech. I was on my own trying to mind my business and my overactive ears picked up a conversation tables away.
The lady was in tears, telling her friends about how she had caught her guy cheating; she'd found explicit chats and what not between him and other girls.
Her friends consoled her and told her to have expected it, that all men cheat and it's in a man's nature to cheat. They are all like
that i.e men.
Today, I have no thoughts. I will some other day.
I want to ask you; Please, is it true that it is in a man's DNA to cheat? That all men cheat? That all men are polygamous by nature? Women should not expect a faithful man and accept a man cheating on them because it's not his fault but his genetic makeup?

I disagree ! Not all men “cheat” . As you rightly said , it’s seems genetically men are wired to have/service many women . The problem is the white man’s civilization/religion that as made African women tag what used to be a norm culturally as “cheating” . Majority of men who don’t “cheat” all have wild secret fantasies which they want to explore with another lady , however because of self control/discipline/societal expectations they won’t /do not ... hence they go around with raging hormones/wild thoughts ... and their ladies are happy because their men don’t “cheat” . Pathetic.

ReplyDeleteIts a beautiful thing when a man or even a woman feels urge to have an affair at the sight of the opposite sex to whom such a one is attracted to. It shows that he/she is alive and well. God put put the urge there, but it is upto such an individual to bridle the mind so that the urge will not drag him/her to hell. Sexual impurity is a sin against oneself and against God. If we have our minds renewed to live obedient to God, we can have the power and ability to put our sexual urge under control and live a lige pleasing to God.

DeleteWhen the woman said all men cheat, she was probably referring to all the men she knows. We tend to see our individual space of reality as the entire world 😊; everyone limited by what they've heard, seen, felt, smelt, tasted - experienced.
